ArcStyler 5.1 now with improved .NET support



Interactive Objects today announced the availability of ArcStyler 5.1, with improved support for latest Microsoft .NET version. The latest ArcStyler release further strengthens Interactive Objects multi-platform development support strategy.


Freiburg (Germany), September 2005. Interactive Objects today announced the general availability of ArcStyler 5.1, the most complete and scaleable MDA platform available in the market.

Model Driven Architecture (MDA)
Based on the Object Management Group's (OMG) industry standard for Model Driven Architecture (MDA), ArcStyler 5.1 enables companies to build and integrate software applications in a highly automated and industrialized manner. ArcStyler bridges the gap between business and technology by automatically transforming business models into high-quality software applications. ArcStyler supports the leading application server platforms, including J2EE, IBM's WebSphere and Microsoft .Net.

Key Features of ArcStyler 5.1
The key improvement in ArcStyler 5.1 is the completely updated C#/.NET cartridge, which now provides full support for the generation of Enterprise Distributed Systems for the Microsoft .NET platform. The enterprise components are implemented as pure C# classes and are based on a four-layer architecture consisting of Business Facades, Business Rules, Data Access and Common Interfaces. Integration with the Visual Studio .NET development environment is provided via generation of pre-configured solutions and projects.
In addition, ArcStyler 5.1 adds:

  • Significant platform enhancements in the areas of complex model management and configuration management

  • JBoss 3 cartridge: full support for JBoss 3.2.7

  • WAS 5 cartridge updates, including custom database mappings

Also available with release 5.1 is the optional ArcStyler Professional edition, which provides model comparison, model metrics and extended search functionality. ArcStyler 5.1 adds valuable features to ArcStyler 5, which is designed specifically for enterprise-scale MDA developments with large development teams.
