Application KREDIS is Bank Coop’s loan management system.
Benefits
Cost Savings: One third of the cost of a traditional re-write project
Risk Mitigation: High level of transparency throughout the project, control over the work result
Flexibility: Flexible work distribution between on-site and offshore centre
Maintainability: High quality code and architectural consistency ensured by MDA maintenance costs
Project As a result of the high cost pressure in the project, the bank was looking for approaches to minimize costs, including automated transformation and offshore development models. The technical goal was to build a modern, future proof Java/J2EE system with a rich client user interface. An existing, internal Java development framework had to be included, to ensure that the new system would support the Banks operations and maintenance processes. Existing Mainframe backend functionality had to be integrated via the CCI interface.
The project was focused on: Legacy Modernization: Interactive Objects’ Legacy Transformation Factory (LTF) provides an industrial process and end-to-end tool chain for the transformation of legacy systems. The results are flexible and agile systems, running on modern platforms. LTF provides a middle way between automatic transformation and re-writing, offering much better quality results than the former and much lower costs and risks than the latter.
Model Driven Offshoring: Model Driven Offshoring (MDO) is an innovative approach to manage mixshore projects more efficiently. MDO is based on the principles of Model Driven Architecture (MDA).
